TWO ROUTES AT TWO PRICES, and it matters which one you are being quoted. The FOUNDATION YEAR is RM21,931 — that is the figure to hold against MAHSA's RM9,650, City University's RM13,840, IIUM's RM17,500 and APU's RM28,400, because all of them are pre-university years and so is this one. On that comparison INTI sits in the middle of the Malaysian field and below APU. The AMERICAN DEGREE TRANSFER PROGRAM is a different product and costs more because it is worth more: two years at INTI, then transfer into one of more than 300 universities in the United States and Canada at year two, three or four. It is RM41,460 in the first year and RM26,338 in the second — RM67,798 in total. The first year is 57% dearer than the second because it carries three semesters rather than two and every one-off charge. INTI states it has moved 16,000 students to the US this way over forty years, and that US partner universities awarded USD 322,000 of scholarships to its students in 2025. So the honest sentence is not that INTI is expensive. It is that a foundation year here costs less than at APU, and that the US transfer route costs roughly twice a foundation year and replaces two years of American tuition.

Other charges

On the American Degree Transfer Program, RM41,460 is the all-in first-year figure from INTI's own schedule, including the RM4,240 administration charge; the three pre-arrival charges above sit outside it. Visa renewal is RM977 a year thereafter. Every fee is subject to 6% SST.

11-year certificate (attestat) accepted directly onto the American Degree Transfer Program bachelor's — no foundation year needed. INTI's own foundation, leading into an INTI bachelor's with a fee rebate on continuation, is a separate route with its own terms.

English

IELTS 5.5 for the American Degree Transfer Program. Below 5.5, INTI provides its own English classes at no additional tuition, up to one year — that year still means twelve months of living costs and a visa before the degree itself starts, so it is not a free year, only a free class. Scholarships

Up to 45% off the first year's tuition, and it is a merit award rather than a rate everyone gets: it asks for IELTS 7 — a full band above INTI's own entry bar — together with a strong SAT score and strong school grades. For a student who qualifies, the first year lands roughly between RM22,800 and RM28,000 (about $5,600–6,800) against RM41,460 at the sticker rate; the RM5,991 of pre-arrival charges is on top either way, and so is 6% SST. A further 20% off the second year is available on your results at INTI, which would take it from RM26,338 to about RM21,100. Treat all of that as an estimate until INTI puts the award in an offer letter — we will tell you honestly whether your grades reach it before you build a budget on it.
