Greensboro College
Not ranked by QS. QS weighs published research heavily, so a college can be absent from the table however well it teaches — an absence is not a low position.
A small private liberal-arts college in North Carolina, with 42 undergraduate majors across five schools. It applies through the Common Application, charges no application fee, and reviews every admitted international student for scholarship automatically.
What it costs, what it asks for
Greensboro College in detail
The money
Undergraduate, full-time on campus, 2026–27
- First year
- USD 22,314 (12–18 credit hours)
- Living, a year
- USD 13,162 food and housing, including sales tax
- First year, all in
- USD 35,476 before scholarship
- Application fee
- None
- Other charges
- International student fee USD 500 a semester; telehealth and wellness plan USD 100 a year. Books, transport and personal spending are estimated by the college at a further USD 6,300 a year and are not included above.
What you need
- Entry
- Proof of completed high school with a grade average equivalent to 2.0 on the US 4.0 scale, an official transcript, and a copy of your passport photo page. A NACES-member evaluation is required where you are claiming transfer credit. Admission is through the Common Application and there is no application fee.
- English
- IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 77, or Duolingo 100. SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 480 or ACT 17 is also accepted in place of an English test.
When, and what it pays
- Intakes
- Two intakes. International applications close 1 April for the Fall semester and 1 October for Spring — earlier than the college's rolling domestic deadline, because the I-20 and the visa interview have to fit before term starts.
- Scholarships
- An international scholarship of USD 5,000–16,878 a year. Every admitted student is assessed automatically, with no separate form — but the amount is set by the college at admission and is not guaranteed at any level until it is written into your offer.
Worth knowing before you pay
A completed high-school education is the minimum here — an eleven-year certificate alone does not meet it. Transfer credit needs a NACES-member credential evaluation, which takes weeks and is arranged before you apply, not after. Greensboro is not ranked by QS, and an F-1 visa from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan is refused more often than any other route on this board — we will tell you honestly what your file looks like before you spend anything on it.
Read off the institution's own fee schedule or confirmed by our partner. We check it again before anything is paid.
We can submit an application here today. Being able to submit is not the same as being likely to succeed — we will tell you where your grades sit before you spend anything. Route registry reviewed 2026-08-22.
